Community Rules
How we keep OTB friendly and safe for everyone.
OTB brings strangers together to play board games in person. That only works if everyone treats each other with respect. These rules apply to every player and host.
Be respectful
- Treat other players politely, win or lose.
- No harassment, discrimination, threats, or hate speech.
- Keep event chats on-topic and civil.
Show up and be honest
- If you join an event, turn up on time — or leave your spot in good time so someone else can take it.
- Hosts: run the event you advertised, and cancel promptly if you cannot.
- No fake events, and no using OTB to mislead or scam other players.
Meet safely
- Prefer public places — a café, a park, a club — especially for a first meeting.
- You meet other players at your own risk; OTB connects people but is not responsible for what happens at in-person meetings.
- You must be at least 18 years old to use OTB.
Reporting and enforcement
Every profile has Report and Block buttons. Reports come straight to us. Breaking these rules can lead to a warning, a removed event, or a permanent ban. Serious or unsafe behaviour will be acted on quickly.
